Particularly, many patients visit us for scar revision after having lateral canthoplasty done at another clinic, as scars can often appear after the surgery. Let’s look at some cases from our mid-age canthoplasty patients, both before and after surgery.
In this case, the patient underwent a Turn-over lateral canthoplasty procedure at another clinic, which resulted in visible scars. The scar is located along the lower eyelid, and the red scar is easily noticeable, making the lateral canthoplasty scars quite prominent.
Such scars require both scar revision and correction of the lower eyelid line to ensure the surgery is successful.
The patient visited our clinic to correct the lateral canthoplasty scar. We removed the scar while maintaining the position of the outer corner of the eye. As a result, the patient achieved a cleaner, sharper eye shape and simultaneously had the scar revision done.
In this case, the patient underwent a similar lateral canthoplasty at another clinic, but after surgery, scars appeared, and the outer corner of the eye did not lower. Instead, an unwanted red scar formed.
The goal of lateral canthoplasty revision surgery is to remove the scar effectively. By lowering the outer corner of the eye, we were able to achieve a softer look and also increase the size of the eye, satisfying the patient’s desires.
In this photo, the patient had undergone lateral canthoplasty at another clinic but did not see the desired effect. Despite wanting to soften a harsh look, the outer corner of the eye remained high, maintaining an angry expression. Additionally, the lateral canthoplasty adhered, making the outer corners of the eyes feel cramped.
To address these issues, we performed a mid-age lateral canthoplasty revision surgery. When comparing before and after, you can see that the position of the outer corners of the eyes lowered, creating a softer expression. The overall eye size also increased, and the previous sticking of the lateral canthoplasty was corrected, achieving the desired results.
Mid-age lateral canthoplasty can be performed not only for middle-aged women but also for middle-aged men.
Here is a photo of a middle-aged man before his lateral canthoplasty. He had relatively large eyes, but the outer corners were raised. Although he had already undergone the procedure at another clinic, he did not see any change in the position of the outer corner of his eyes or their size, leading to dissatisfaction.
We performed lateral canthoplasty revision surgery at our clinic, and the outer corners of his eyes were gently lowered. The eyes became more refreshed and defined, showing a significant improvement compared to before.
