Let’s take a look at a patient who underwent non-incisional double eyelid surgery at our clinic, comparing pre-surgery and 1-month post-surgery videos.
In the pre-surgery video, you can see that the patient had a slight drooping of the eyelids.
While improving this, the patient wanted a thin double eyelid line, so we performed the non-incisional method.
After the surgery, a natural and not-too-thick double eyelid line has formed, and the eyes look much more defined.
Double eyelid surgery is a fundamental and important procedure in eye surgery. While the procedure has become more popular and some may think of it as a relatively simple surgery, this is a misconception.
The more you know about double eyelid surgery, the more you realize how intricate the procedure is. Small differences can make a big impact, and in some cases, poor results may be worse than not having surgery at all.
To ensure the best results, the surgeon must have a deep understanding of double eyelid surgery, along with extensive experience.
It's essential to consider the patient’s eye shape, whether they want an in-line or out-line, thin or thick line, and the ratio of the inner and outer eyelid line thickness. All these details need to be carefully assessed before proceeding.
Compared to incisional double eyelid surgery, the bruising and swelling are much less, and recovery is faster. However, recovery time may vary depending on the patient's skin condition and overall health.
In the case of the patient shown here, at 1 month post-surgery, there is still some slight residual swelling, but with time, a more natural eyelid shape will form.
