Hello, this is SoonPlus Plastic Surgery Clinic.
Today, we’re sharing a video of a patient who underwent epicanthoplasty revision, lateral canthoplasty, and one-day ptosis correction at our clinic. In this video, we will walk you through the recovery process, from pre-surgery to 3 months post-surgery.
(Pre-surgery / 3 Months Post-Surgery: Epicanthoplasty Revision, Lateral Canthoplasty, One-Day Ptosis Correction)
Before the surgery, you can see that this patient had what’s commonly known as “sleepy eyes.” The patient also had a “sausage-like” double eyelid. It seems that she had undergone double eyelid surgery twice in the past, which is why there are two visible lines.
This patient also had a high outer corner of the eye and a small inner corner, which is why she wanted lateral canthoplasty to open up the eyes more.
Looking at the details of her eyes, you can see the “sleepy eye” appearance, with the inner corners looking especially more tired.
For her surgery plan, we decided not to perform a double eyelid surgery but to first carry out the one-day ptosis correction.
Now, if you look at her post-surgery photos, you’ll notice that even though we didn’t perform double eyelid surgery, her eyelids have become thinner, and the “sausage eye” appearance has improved.
The one-day ptosis correction enhanced the inner corner of the eyes, creating a more rounded and natural angle. Additionally, the lateral canthoplasty has shown effective results in opening up the outer corners of her eyes.
Thanks to the combination of ptosis correction and lateral canthoplasty, without the need for double eyelid surgery, this patient’s "sausage" eyelids were successfully corrected, and the outer eye corners were nicely enhanced.
